Island Hopping Highlights
Our first stop was Padar Island, located in the Lintah Strait between Rinca and Komodo islands. It’s famous for its dramatic hills and offers an incredible hiking peak with panoramic views. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. Next, we ventured to Pink Beach on Komodo Island. Its unique pink hue is stunning and comes from tiny pieces of red coral from the surrounding reef – it’s even more vibrant in person. Later, we snorkeled at Manta Point, where you can find Manta Rays year-round, gathering in the glistening waters near Komodo National Park’s longest reef. It was an exceptional experience to swim alongside these magnificent creatures. We also had the chance to visit Komodo Island itself, home to an estimated population of 1,000 Komodo dragons, alongside Sumba deers, water buffalos, and wild horses. Seeing the dragons in their natural habitat was an absolute privilege and a highlight of the entire trip.
