Labuan Bajo Private Charter To Pink Beach And Manta Point Snorkeling

July 3, 2026 · Anita Ayu Rustyaningtyas

Our Komodo adventure began in Labuan Bajo, Flores, a bustling hub for exploring East Nusa Tenggara. We’d booked a private charter, eager to craft our own journey through this incredible archipelago. While many operators have offices right in town, booking ahead gave us peace of mind. Our 3D2N sailing itinerary was meticulously planned, starting around 10:30 AM on a Friday, promising a full weekend of exploration before returning to Labuan Bajo by Sunday afternoon.

Snorkeling Paradise: Pink Beach and Manta Point

The highlight of our private charter was undoubtedly the snorkeling. We knew we wanted to hit the iconic spots. Pink Beach, with its unique rosy sand, was even more stunning in person. The underwater world there was vibrant, a kaleidoscope of coral and fish. But the real magic happened at Manta Point. Swimming alongside majestic manta rays in their natural habitat was an utterly exceptional experience. Our private boat allowed us to linger, waiting for the perfect moment to spot these gentle giants. We also made time for Taka Makassar, another renowned snorkeling spot, its shallow sandbar a perfect place to relax between dips. Beyond the water, our itinerary included stops at the famous Padar Island for its panoramic views, a visit to Komodo Island to see the dragons, and the serene Kanawa Island. We even caught a breathtaking sunset at Kalong Island, watching thousands of flying foxes emerge for their nightly hunt – an experience often advertised as a separate sunset cruise from Labuan Bajo.

Choosing Your Komodo Adventure

Labuan Bajo offers a spectrum of Komodo experiences. While we opted for a multi-day private charter, day trips are also popular. For those short on time, a private fast-boat day trip to Komodo can get you to the main attractions quickly, though it comes at a premium. We saw prices for private fast-boat day trips starting around €864 for a group of up to four. For budget-conscious travelers, full-day Komodo speedboat tours are available from around €69–€113 per adult. But for us, the luxury of a private multi-day charter, with its flexibility to explore at our own pace and visit places like Kelor and Long Pink Beach without the crowds, was worth every penny. It truly allowed us to immerse ourselves in the beauty of the Komodo National Park.
