Alila Purnama is a luxurious handcrafted phinisi inspired by the traditional design of the Bugis seafarers of South Sulawesi. At 46 metres in length and featuring three spacious decks, she offers an unusual blend of heritage and modern luxury.
She suits travellers who want an exclusive charter without a large guest list: five beautifully designed cabins — one expansive master suite and four standard cabins — give up to 10 guests comfort and privacy across a boat sized for twice that number.
Alila Purnama is certified as a licensed PADI dive centre, offering diving for all levels — from beginner courses through to specialty dives such as Night Diving and Underwater Naturalist.
Beyond the tanks there is snorkelling, yoga, stand-up paddleboarding and sea kayaking. Outdoor spaces carry shaded oversized daybeds, which is where most of the day between dives actually gets spent.
Inside there is a library, a cosy lounge, a stylish bar and an indoor dining area seating up to 10 — the full guest complement at one table.
The Master Suite takes a queen-size bed, private balcony, bathtub and sea view. The four Standard Cabins carry double beds, private bathrooms and porthole views. All five are air-conditioned and en-suite; there are no shared bathrooms on board.
Whole-boat charter from USD 15,000 per night plus 11.2% tax. Komodo National Park entrance fees, crew gratuities and flights are quoted separately.
